Welcome! My name is Ellie, I’m an illustrator, student and small business owner. I’m based in Cardiff in South Wales but use social media to reach a worldwide audience.

Online, I go by the name Cornellieast or Cornellieastreet - this name came about as a joke initially, as a result of me desperately trying to mash my name into a Taylor Swift song title, I ingeniously thought I could fit Ellie into Cornelia Street, but it’s kind of stuck and now that’s what most people online know me as!

A lot of my art is inspired by music, hence the Taylor Swift inspiration in my shop title. I take inspiration from music for a large majority of my work as it’s something I feel personally connected to and passionate about and luckily other people feel the same and enjoy my art as a result! I also really love to explore themes relating to femininity, nature and women’s issues. These are all areas that are near and dear to my heart, so I try to contribute to these conversations in my own little way through my artwork.

My main passion within art is character design and exploration, as I think is evident through my work. Over the years I’ve struggled to find my ‘style’ and my place in the art world, but now I finally feel like I’m making my own little world filled with cowgirls and magic and flowers and lots of Taylor Swift references.
